<div class="job_description"> <div class="job_description"> <h2><strong>Title: Post Fixture Operator &#8211; Dry Cargo Shipbrokerage<br /> Contract type: Permanent<br /> Salary: commensurate with experience (45-65,000GBP) + discretionary bonus<br /> </strong><strong>Location: London, UK</strong></h2> <p>Imperium Commodity Search is retained by a boutique and growing shipbroker in the dry cargo/dry bulk space seeking a junior-mid level post fix operations professional.  Our client is not a major corporate and has a small but longstanding team of profressionals with some mature keystone/long term accounts.  As part of a wider growth project across their front office brokerage team, the need has arisen for an addition to their operations/brokerage support team.</p> </div> <div class="job_description"> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Working with the firms client base across the Dry Cargo space (Handy, Supra and Panamax) on all operational matters</li> <li>Oversee day to day post fixture correspondence, documentation and resolutions as required</li> <li>Liaise with all counterparties of the business to ensure smooth and time efficient operations</li> <li>Work with internal accounting finance team on handling resolution of fixes in the dry cargo shipbrokerage space</li> <li>Provide proactive support to the brokerage team, ensuring issues are handled efficiently and swiftly to maintain client satisfaction</li> </ul> <p><strong>We would love to hear from you if you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years’ experience in a dry cargo/dry bulk post fixture operations position</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with an exceptional eye for detail</li> <li>The ability to work alternate weekends/unsociable hours where required to cover requirements</li> <li>Experience in laytime calculations, post fixture documentation and settlement correspondence</li> <li>Superb problem solving skills and find enjoyment in finding solutions</li> <li>A passion for the shipping markets/a good understanding of the shipbrokerage world and how it functions</li> <li>Fluency in English (written and verbal) with a personable and professional communication manner</li> </ul> <p>The shipbrokerage markets are close knit in many regions and we understand the need for the strictest of confidentiality considerations.
