1:1 Teaching Assistant

About the role:

Justteachers is recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to deliver SEN support in a primary school in Bedworth. This full-time role will start in September 2026 and will run until January 2027.

The school is a smaller, community-focused primary setting located in a residential area. It offers a nurturing environment with a strong emphasis on inclusion and personalised learning. The school typically operates as a one-form entry and maintains a close-knit atmosphere where staff are committed to supporting each child’s individual development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the student’s individual education, behaviour, and care plan.
• Use positive behaviour strategies, de-escalation techniques, and clear routines to help the student manage their emotions and behaviour.
• Monitor and support academic progress, working collaboratively with the class teacher.

Pre-requisites:

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
• Experience working 1:1 with children within a primary setting.
• Two professional references from an educational or care background.
