Recruitment Fraud Disclaimer

We have received reports of job candidates receiving emails (including LinkedIn InMail messages) from individuals falsely representing themselves as Mercury recruiters. These communications typically ask the prospective candidates to contact them about an offer of employment in Mercury’s IT Department, and if contacted, discuss sending money for equipment.

The scammers are using job titles, logos, and email addresses (such as Careers-mercury.com) to create the appearance that they are authorized Mercury representatives. They are not. Mercury seeks information for job applications from candidates through only the following channels: (1) Mercury’s website at mercuryinsurance.com, which includes its careers page where authorized job listings are posted (careers-mercuryinsurance.icims.com); (2) via email to/from addresses using only the Mercury domain of “@mercuryinsurance.com”; and (3) screening and interaction by telephone and through the Microsoft Teams platform.

Please do not respond to these messages or contact those individuals, and do not follow their instructions, as these are scamming attempts. If you are unsure of the legitimacy of a communication you have received, please reach out to recruiting@mercuryinsurance.com.
