Blue Yonder (JDA) Solution Architect<br />
Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions<br />
Position Overview<br />
We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder (JDA) Solution Architect to lead end-to-end solution design<br />
and implementation for a 6+ month consulting engagement. The ideal candidate will drive solution<br />
architecture and design for Blue Yonder (BY) implementations and enhancements, translating complex<br />
business requirements into scalable, best-practice logistics solutions. This role requires deep Blue<br />
Yonder expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and preferably prior experience with semiconductor<br />
manufacturing environments.<br />
Key Responsibilities<br />
• Lead Solution Architecture: Own end-to-end solution blueprint covering process design,<br />
configuration, integrations, reporting, and data migration; present solution options with<br />
tradeoffs and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.<br />
• Requirements & Design: Conduct discovery workshops, gather business requirements, and<br />
translate into comprehensive functional and technical specifications aligned with best practices.<br />
• Integration Architecture: Design and guide integration strategy with upstream/downstream<br />
systems including ERP (SAP/Oracle), EDI, carrier systems, OMS, WCS, and supply chain visibility<br />
platforms.<br />
• BY Configuration & Best Practices: Guide teams on Blue Yonder configuration across logistics<br />
processes—inbound/outbound, warehouse operations, order planning, execution, and freight<br />
settlement.<br />
• Non-Functional Requirements: Define performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and<br />
resilience requirements; ensure solution meets enterprise standards.<br />
• Testing & Quality: Develop SIT/UAT strategy, lead defect triage, and ensure solution quality<br />
through client sign-offs and production readiness.<br />
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to manage<br />
scope, risks, dependencies, and release readiness; provide executive-level communication.<br />
• Team Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor and guide implementation team members;<br />
lead knowledge transition sessions and establish long-term solution governance.<br />
Required Qualifications<br />
• Minimum 3–5 end-to-end Blue Yonder (JDA) implementation projects as Solution Architect or<br />
Senior Functional Consultant.<br />
• Deep expertise in Blue Yonder ESP (Enterprise Service Platform) and Order Promising (OP)<br />
configuration, process design, and logistics best practices.<br />
• Strong experience designing and architecting integrations with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), EDI,<br />
OMS, WCS, and carrier management platforms.<br />
• Proven ability to conduct discovery workshops, perform system analysis, and write<br />
comprehensive functional and technical specifications.<br />
• Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot<br />
complex logistics and supply chain challenges.<br />
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; comfortable presenting to executive<br />
leadership and managing scope/risk/dependencies.<br />
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent; or minimum 6<br />
years of related Blue Yonder/JDA consulting experience.<br />
Preferred Qualifications<br />
• Prior implementation experience with semiconductor manufacturing or product-based<br />
customers (highly preferred).<br />
• Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder inbound, outbound, warehouse operations, Order<br />
Promising, and warehouse execution system (WES) modules.<br />
• Exposure to freight settlement, charge calculation, and carrier management functionality.<br />
• Knowledge of supply chain control towers and advanced supply chain visibility platforms.<br />
• Experience mentoring implementation teams and driving knowledge transition in complex,<br />
multi-phase programs.<br />
Engagement Details<br />
• Duration: 6 months+ (potential for extension based on project phasing).<br />
• Location: 50–75% travel required across Dallas, Boston, and Bay Area client locations.<br />
• Role: Solution Architect leading architecture, design, and implementation governance.<br />
• Team: Will partner with implementation teams, functional consultants, technical teams, and<br />
business stakeholders.
