You will be part of our global Automation organization and support the development of future-oriented automation topics and contribute to the long-term competitiveness of our automation solutions.
Your focus will be on automation systems, new technologies and innovation, ensuring that emerging concepts are systematically evaluated, developed and integrated into standardized automation products.
Your Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of future-oriented automation concepts, technologies and system architectures.
Contribute to the development, maintenance and evolution of standardized automation solutions, with a focus on: Automation systems and architectures
Modular and reusable software concepts
Long-term product strategies for automation
Enable innovation capacity alongside ongoing engineering activities by: Evaluating new automation technologies, tools and methodologies
Identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation in automation systems.
Support translating innovative concepts into practical, standardized solutions.
Drive modularization, reusability and productization of automation assets to support scalable and future-proof solutions.
Perform hands-on technical development and programming, focusing on: Proof-of-concept implementations
Prototype development
Integration of new technologies into existing automation frameworks
Improve efficiency, quality and consistency across projects by embedding innovation into automation standards and products.
Support the long-term competitiveness of automation solutions by ensuring: Technological relevance
Maintainability and scalability
Alignment with industry trends and standards
Collaborate closely with: Automation product development team
Automation project execution team
IT/OT and cybersecurity specialists
Other engineering disciplines like process, instrumentation and electrical engineering.
Commissioning teams
Capture feedback from projects and operational experience and feed it back into automation innovation and technology.
Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable technical discipline.
Professional experience in industrial automation, with a strong interest in technology development and innovation.
Solid hands-on experience in automation system development
Strong understanding of automation system architectures
Control concepts and software design
Modular and reusable automation solutions
Interest or experience in new automation technologies, digitalization, simulation or advanced engineering methods is an advantage.
Analytical, forward-thinking and concept-driven working style.
Ability to balance innovation activities with support of ongoing engineering needs.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in international teams.
Very good English communication skills, both written and verbal
