About the Role
The Solution Architecture team within IT Delivery defines, governs, and communicates end-to-end business and technical solution designs for IFS. The team acts as a bridge between business capability requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that all solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, design integrity, and scalability.
We drive global architecture governance, ensuring consistency and interoperability across domains and geographies. Our architects collaborate closely with Business Systems Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to translate business needs into robust, future-proof solutions that enable IFS to deliver value efficiently and sustainably.
Through strategic guidance, design authority, and cross-functional collaboration, the Solution Architecture team plays a critical role in shaping the future of IFS’s IT landscape and supporting the company’s digital transformation journey.
Our Principal Solution Architects lead the definition, governance, and delivery of enterprise-scale solution architectures across multiple domains. They ensure alignment between business strategy and technology execution, act as design authority across regions, and drive continuous improvement of global architecture governance.
Key Responsibilities
Global Architecture Governance
Lead definition and enforcement of global solution architecture standards and frameworks.
Act as design authority across domains ensuring consistency, scalability, and security.
Represent Solution Architecture in governance councils and steering committees.
Align architecture strategy with global business priorities and technology roadmaps.
Solution Leadership & Delivery
Drive design of complex, cross-domain solution architectures for major initiatives.
Review and validate technical solutions to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture.
Partner with delivery teams to guide implementation through to successful deployment.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence technology strategy and investment decisions.
Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Analysts across geographies.
Serve as a trusted advisor to project and domain leaders on design decisions and standards.
Mentoring & Capability Development
Mentor Solution Architects and Analysts, building architecture capability across the organization.
Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and architecture communities of practice.
Contribute to development of reusable design patterns and reference architectures.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications:
TOGAF, ITIL, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred.
Experience Requirements:
8+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles.
Proven track record leading global architecture initiatives and governance programs.
Experience influencing and guiding design across multiple business domains.
