Would you like to work on something fascinating and meaningful?
At intoDNA, we develop STRIDE, the first platform technology for direct detection of DNA damage. It has been successfully used by leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies and renowned academic groups to accelerate their drug development efforts.
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Science & Analysis team. You’ll be responsible for delivering analysis results across multiple commercial projects — from raw microscopy data through to final visualisations and slide decks shared with clients. You’ll work closely with Project Owners (scientists who manage client relationships) and alongside other analysts and data scientists — connecting what the data shows to what it means biologically.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. You’ll spend most of your time working with project data in Python, producing plots, and making sure results are accurate, reproducible, and delivered on time. As you grow into the role, you’ll also contribute to improving our analytical workflows and standardising how we work.
What you’ll work with
Data: Single-cell quantification data from fluorescence microscopy images — features like signal intensity, morphological measurements, and derived biomarker scores across thousands of cells per project
Platform: intoDNA’s internal microscopy image analysis system
Tools: Python (pandas, matplotlib, seaborn), Jupyter Notebooks, Git
Collaboration: Daily interaction with Project Owners, other analysts, and data scientists via Slack and project meetings
Location
Poland, Cracow

Responsibilities
Perform quantitative microscopy image analysis for commercial projects: data validation, exploratory analysis, statistical testing, visualisation, and reporting
Perform quality control on analysis results — evaluate segmentation masks, identify outliers, and flag issues to Project Owners
Create publication-quality plots and assemble them into client-ready slide decks
Coordinate with Project Owners on priorities, timelines, and deliverables across concurrent projects
Document analysis workflows so they can be reproduced or handed over to another team member
Contribute to improving and standardising the team's analytical tools and processes
Requirements
Essential
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field; life science background preferred (biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related)
Experience in Python (pandas, matplotlib/seaborn or equivalent) — data wrangling, statistics, and visualisation
Solid understanding of statistics: hypothesis testing, statistical tests, etc
Experience creating data visualisations for technical or scientific audiences
Ability to work independently across multiple concurrent projects and manage your own priorities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and reproducibility
Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Experience with Git for version control
Nice to have
Experience with microscopy image analysis or bioimage analysis (e.g. basic experience with ImageJ or scikit-image)
Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy, confocal imaging, or cell biology concepts
Understanding of image segmentation and its role in quantitative analysis
Experience with Jupyter Notebooks as a working environment
Experience in a GxP or otherwise regulated environment
What you can expect
Opportunity to make a real impact in an early-stage, highly innovative company
Collaborative work in stimulating and friendly environment
