Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join their dynamic Front Door (Duty) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social worker looking to take the next step in a fast-paced, supportive environment focused on safeguarding and early intervention.
About the Role
As a Senior Practitioner within the Duty (Front Door) service, you will play a key role in managing incoming referrals, undertaking safeguarding enquiries, and ensuring timely and effective interventions for children and families.
Work within the S47 team, completing Section 47 enquiries and progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) where appropriate
Manage a varied caseload within a short-term intervention team
Participate in a duty rota (1 week in every 3)
Undertake both office-based and community-based work, including home visits
Utilise the Eclipse system to record and manage casework
Working Arrangements
37 hours per week
2 days office-based during duty week
Flexible working outside of duty week
Free parking available
Travel required across the North West Central Birmingham area (Clean Air Zone applicable)
Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving license and access to own vehicle
