Teaching Assistant Grange over Sands

About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a long term role in a Secondary school in the Grangr over Sands area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.

A vibrant and diverse secondary school dedicated to nurturing potential, promoting positive behaviour, and delivering a broad curriculum that prepares students for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• support pupils with additional needs in class
• deliver targeted interventions and small group work
• assist with EHCP targets and learning plans
• encourage pupil independence and confidence
• work closely with teachers and SENCO
• adapt resources for individual learning needs
• monitor and record pupil progress
• support behaviour management strategies
• help maintain a supportive learning environment
• ensure safeguarding and wellbeing support

Pre-requisites:

• experience supporting SEND pupils
• prior UK school experience
• understanding of EHCPs and interventions
• strong communication and patience
