About the Role
Your responsibilities:
* Perform backup validation, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.
* Oversee upgrade, migration, patching, consolidation and lifecycle refresh projects for Windows & Linux servers.
* Manage initiatives related to Active Directory, group policies, OS hardening, and server security compliance.
* Coordinate with engineering teams on performance optimisation, capacity planning, and incident reduction.
* Lead projects involving SAN, NAS, object storage, storage expansion, and replication solutions.
* Manage backup solution implementations, platform upgrades, retention policy updates, and DR/BCP improvements.
* Partner with vendors (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Veritas, Veeam, Commvault) for solution design and delivery.
* Act as primary liaison between technical teams, business units, and leadership.
* Conduct stakeholder meetings, gather requirements, communicate risks and dependencies.
* Manage vendor relationships, contracts, timelines, and deliverables.
* Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure infrastructure documentation (HLD/LLD, diagrams, SOPs) is maintained.
* Support audit, compliance, and security remediation initiatives.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects.
* Strong competency in project management tools (MS Project, Planner, Jira, ServiceNow).
* Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.
* Certifications preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.
