Position Summary
The Senior AI Engineer serves as a technical leader responsible for driving the design, development, and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence solutions that address complex business challenges. This role provides deep expertise across domains such as computer vision, natural language processing, recommendation systems, generative AI, and predictive analytics.
The position sets strategic direction for AI initiatives, establishes engineering best practices, and partners cross-functionally to maximize the business impact of AI investments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver scalable AI solutions that meet business and enterprise requirements
Serve as a subject matter expert in applied AI, influencing technical direction and long-term strategy
Lead large, complex, and transformative AI initiatives across functional or enterprise programs
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify high-impact AI use cases and define solution approaches
Guide development and production deployment of machine learning models aligned to product and business needs
Optimize model performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability to enterprise standards
Translate cutting-edge AI research and experimental techniques into deployable, value-driven solutions
Establish and maintain robust pipelines for data preparation, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
Implement MLOps best practices to support scalable, repeatable model lifecycle management
Promote responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, explainability, and security
Monitor emerging AI trends, frameworks, and tools to inform innovation and maintain competitive advantage
Contribute to additional technical initiatives and strategic projects as needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (C# experience preferred)
2+ years of hands-on experience with Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar
Proven experience applying large language models (LLMs), generative AI, or agent-based AI frameworks to real-world business problems
Demonstrated success delivering at least one large-scale ML/AI application on a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, data structures, and optimization techniques
Experience with MLOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, etc.)
Ability to convert research concepts and experimental AI approaches into practical, enterprise-grade solutions
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with transformers, edge AI, federated learning, or real-time inference systems
Contributions to open-source AI projects, patents, or published research
Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
