We have a need for temporary help in our Actuarial Department. Hours: Between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 16-25 hours per week during the school year depending on the applicant's schedule 30-40 hours per week in the summer Location: Alpharetta, GA Duties in the Actuarial Department include: Performing tasks related to data preparation for analytic projects and/or product implementation Setup and formatting of pricing and/or reserving reports Testing and troubleshooting pricing and product implementation During this internship, the student will gain: Fundamental concepts of insurance An understanding of actuarial roles and responsibilities Familiarity with basic actuarial tools including Excel and SQL Server. Qualifications: Sophomore, junior, or senior Major in mathematics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent Basic familiarity with MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Attention to detail Excellent grammar, proofreading, and written communication skills A comprehensive benefits package is available for regular, full-time employees, including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance as well as a 401(k) with company match.
