Learning Mentor – SEND School | Portsmouth £14.25 per hour | Long-Term Opportunity | Term Time Only Are you passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning? A specialist SEND school in Portsmouth is looking for caring and dedicated Learning Mentors to join their team for the new academic year. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning. Responsibilities Supporting students on a one-to-one and small group basis Encouraging engagement within lessons and school activities Building positive relationships with pupils Supporting social, emotional and behavioural development Working closely with teaching staff and therapists We’re Looking For A patient and supportive approach Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable Strong communication skills A genuine passion for making a difference What’s on Offer? £14.25 per hour Monday to Friday Term time only Long-term role for the full academic year Supportive SEND environment Ongoing training and development Safeguarding & DBS Statement This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
