Job Summary:
To assist plant operations in running efficient with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on various types of industrial equipment including, mechanical, electrical, and instrument work
Planning proper procedures, selecting suitable tools, equipment and materials, performing the necessary work to complete a job to specification, on schedule, and in an efficient manner
Proactive involvement in maintenance to report and prevent any deficiencies
Reports to maintenance supervisor, and often works with maintenance engineers
Responsible for keeping craft skills up to date through ongoing training
Maintains a safe and clean work environment adhering to 5S standards and all safety procedures while working efficiently to complete daily and weekly work schedules on time
Must be able to identify issues on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and perform the necessary corrective actions required
Must be able to troubleshoot issues by being able to read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, manufacturers specifications, and diagrams to diagnose the root cause of the problem
Guarantee operation of mechanical gadgets and machinery by ensuring completion of preventative maintenance prerequisites on production machines, motors, engines, conveyor systems, and pneumatic tools
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required with over 5 years of electrical maintenance in and manufacturing setting or a two- year Industrial Maintenance degree with 3 years or more of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
Must be a Journeyman certified electrician or equivalent which will include providing documentation of 1080 program hours of industrial electrician experience.
Ability to demonstrate skills at a Journeyman level.
Industrial motor control (A/C & D/C Controls)
Computers skills / computer operated control systems
Use power saws, drills, hammers, presses and grinders, ovens, dip tanks, dynamic balancer, gas and electric welding and cutting equipment, dial indicators, rules, tapes, micrometers, squares, levels, flow and pressure meters, lubricating equipment, handling equipment such as jacks, hoists, cranes and trucks; hand and powered cleaning tools; hand tools common to the trade and P.C.
Must be willing to work a rotating schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
