About the Opportunity: • Job Title: Fire and Security Systems Technician • Pay Rate Range: $30.00-$40.00/Hour • Location: Savage, MN • Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM with required overtime. • Position Type: Direct Hire Requirements and Qualifications: 1. Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational training. 2. Must have 2+ years of commercial field or 3 years of residential experience. 3. Must have working knowledge of commercial intrusion, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems. 4. DMP, Digital Watchdog are a must. Honeywell (Vista), Bosch and Aiphone is a PLUS. 5. Must have use of a Fluke or VOM meter. Able to use meter to read electrical circuits to diagnose faulty systems. 6. Must have working knowledge of NFPA code requirements. 7. Must have a valid driver’s license and clear a pre-employment drug screening. 8. MN PLT license increases wage. 9. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. 10. Candidates must provide their own hand tools. Wrenches, screwdrivers, Sockets, Hammer, etc. Nothing specialty just basic hand tools. 11. Client will provide specialty tools. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Respond to and complete service calls efficiently. 2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to security systems. 3. Perform troubleshooting, repair, and system adjustments as required. 4. Provide consistent, reliable, and high-quality customer support, while working with sales and other field technicians. 5. Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory to include equipment, PPE and tools. 6. Perform all tasks in a safe and effective manner while keeping other teammates in mind as well. 7. Perform system testing and signal verifications. 8. Ensure all necessary documentation is correctly filled out with accurate and detailed information in a timely manner. 9. Perform customer instructions or training on system operations as needed. 10. Provide professional communication with clients to ensure high-quality service. 11. Must complete other projects or assignments assigned. 12. 95% of calls within the seven county Metro Area. 13. Home every night. 14. Service techs provided occasional install opportunities to enhance their skillset. 15. Local central station with very low wait times for techs calls. 16. Tech dispatching is local and in house. 17. Standard workdays are from driveway to driveway. 18. Very team-oriented shop. 19. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire & Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in running service calls, including troubleshooting, and diagnosing security and fire system issues. This position requires someone who can excel in a fast-paced environment, effectively multitask, has experience with DMP, Silent Knight and Digital Watchdog and works well both independently and as part of a team.
