<h1><strong>Senior Veterinary Surgeon – Leadership Role – Cardiff – £65k–£77k</strong></h1>
<p>A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced <strong>Senior Veterinary Surgeon</strong> to lead a busy small animal hospital in <strong>Cardiff, South Wales, UK</strong>. This full-time permanent role (37.5 hours per week) offers the chance to step into a key leadership position, overseeing clinical quality, day-to-day operations and the development of a large, diverse team.</p>
<p><strong>This is an ideal role for an experienced vet ready to take on a hospital-leadership position</strong>, combining clinical oversight with people management, team development and strategic planning.</p>

<h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2>
<p>As Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lead and develop the veterinary surgeons, nursing team and client services team.</p>
<li>
<p>Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and excellent clinical standards.</p>
<li>
<p>Take responsibility for clinical governance, case quality and continuous improvement.</p>
<li>
<p>Plan rotas and resources to maintain efficient, safe and compassionate care.</p>
<li>
<p>Manage treatment-related budgets and ensure responsible use of resources.</p>
<li>
<p>Foster a positive, collaborative working culture across all departments.</p>
</ul>
<p>This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to inspire and support others across the hospital.</p>

<h2><strong>Requirements</strong></h2>
<ul>

<p>RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon</p>
<li>
<p>Proven leadership or team management experience</p>
<li>
<p>Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills</p>
<li>
<p>Ability to manage clinical priorities alongside operational needs</p>
<li>
<p>Passion for high-quality veterinary care and team development</p>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Salary & Benefits</strong></h2>

<p><strong>£65,000 – £77,000</strong>, depending on experience</p>
