<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for delivering great service and driving results? Our client, a leading distributor within the consutruction supply sector, is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to join their growing team in Huntingdon, Cambridegeshire.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong>The role</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">As Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll work closely with the Branch Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations. You’ll lead and support the internal sales and shop teams, ensure smooth trading performance, and maintain outstanding customer service standards.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">Assistant Branch Manager responsibilities include:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Supporting the Branch Manager to achieve branch sales and profit targets</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Managing staff on the sales desk and shop floor</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Taking ownership of branch operations in the manager’s absence</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Overseeing transport management and ensuring safety compliance</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Driving service excellence and efficient order-to-delivery processes</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Proven sales or customer service experience, ideally within the merchant or construction supply / building materials sector</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Experience in transport management is an advantage</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Strong communication, organisational, and people management skills</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">A team-focused approach and a proactive attitude</span></li>
</ul>
