This is a hands-on, workshop-based role working on a varied fleet of JCB telehandlers, Bomag rollers, Kubota excavators, and Terex & Thwaites dumpers. What You'll Do As a Plant Fitter / Workshop Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for keeping the fleet moving: Inspect, service, and repair construction plant machinery Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs efficiently Maintain accurate service and repair records Estimate repair requirements and advise on costs Monitor workshop stock and parts availability Support deliveries and collections when needed This role is perfect for someone currently working as: Plant Fitter Plant Technician Plant Engineer Workshop Engineer Construction Equipment Mechanic Plant Mechanic Heavy Equipment Technician What You Need Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing plant machinery Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and good record keeping Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment Bonus: NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent - if not, the company will support you to achieve it.
