About the Role
Sub Division: Information Technology Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours - Monday to Friday Creating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care… The role will be responsible for the governance, design, development, deployment and maintenance of corporate GIS Solutions The GIS Solutions Manager will be responsible for the delivery of highly available, functional, and integrated GIS related services and solutions to all group businesses. You will management and develop a team of supporting analysts and developers, take technical ownership and governance of supporting application architecture, including the development and application of related policies and improvement of ITSM process and performance in the delivery of GIS services. • Responsible for the development and delivery of the GIS Application Services roadmap including release management cycles and continual service improvement activities • Responsible for development and delivery of GIS Application Services related KPIs for ITSM and Project outcomes, as well as associated working processes and procedures • Responsible for management of external and internal suppliers related to GIS Services in close collaboration with UK IT functions • Responsible for the development and proliferation of GIS Application Services knowledge within the team and across the business through formal and informal means (e.g., LMS, user forums etc.) • Responsible for championing and marketing of GIS Application Services within the Vinci Construction group of UK businesses and elsewhere – close liaison with internal and external stakeholders through formal and informal means • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of evolving technology and business trends, not limited to but especially related to GIS Application Services for incorporation into annual roadmaps • Responsible for recruitment, development, and retention of a highly competent and effective team of GIS Application Services resources • Responsible for developing and embedding a service managed culture within the operation of GIS Application Services, developing service offerings as needed • Responsible for the development, deployment, monitoring and enforcement of policies, processes and procedures with regards to in scope solutions • Management of GIS Application Management licensing position, budget, and accounts Essential Qualifications/Skills • No fewer than five years working in an ArcGIS application support and development capacity • No fewer than two years working in structured, managed ICT service environments • Awareness and use of road maintenance/construction/civil engineering industry tools and suppliers • ArcGIS Pro • Administration of ArcGIS Enterprise platform • Experience of development/integration with mobile solutions and other toolsets • GIS Applications, Architecture and Development • Linux OS • Microsoft Windows Server OS and Active Directory • Office 365 technologies In return for your hard work we offer additional training and development, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), generous pension contribution, life assurance and much more.
