The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play an important role in supporting pupils as they build the foundations of their educational journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to support strong learning outcomes.
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to promote pupil success.
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• A secure understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• The ability to deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for helping children develop confidence and a love of learning.
