About the Role

Stores Team Leader<br> <strong>Location:</strong> Wolverhampton<br><strong>Hours:</strong> Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £15.00 to 17.50 (dependent on experience)<br><strong>Contract:</strong> Full Time, Permanent<br><br><br> <strong>Pertemps Wolverhampton</strong> are currently recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a <strong>Stores Team Leader</strong> to join their busy warehouse and logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the stores department, ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency, and high standards of performance.<br><br><br> The Role<br> As a Stores Team Leader, you will oversee the daily activities within the stores function, leading a team to ensure goods are received, stored, and issued accurately and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, supporting operational targets, and driving continuous improvement within the department.<br><br><br> Key Responsibilities<br><ul><li>Lead and support the stores team to achieve daily operational objectives.</li><ul><li>Allocate workloads and monitor team performance.</li><li>Ensure goods are received, checked, stored, and issued accurately.</li><li>Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.</li><li>Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.</li><li>Ensure all warehouse and stores processes are followed correctly.</li><li>Liaise with internal departments to support production and customer requirements.</li><li>Train, mentor, and develop team members, promoting best practices and high standards.</li><li>Monitor health and safety compliance within the stores area.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.</li><li>Produce and maintain accurate records and reports.</li></ul></ul><br> Skills & Experience Required<br><ul><li>Previous experience in a Stores Team Leader, Warehouse Team Leader, or similar supervisory role.</li><ul><li>Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory management.</li><li>Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).</li><li>Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership abilities.</li><li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.</li><li>Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.</li><li>A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.</li></ul></ul><br> What's on Offer?<br><ul><li>Competitive salary depending on experience.</li><ul><li>Monday to Friday working hours – promoting a healthy work-life balance.</li><li>Opportunity to join a well-established and growing business.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment.</li><li>Ongoing training and career development opportunities.</li></ul></ul><br> If you are an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in your career or an established Team Leader seeking a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.<br><br><br> <strong>Apply today through Pertemps Wolverhampton.</strong>
