Network Engineer <br /> TS/SCI Full Scope Poly <br /> Dulles, VA<br /> <br /> The Network Engineer Is responsible for developing, engineering, and deploying technical solutions within a community wide, dedicated network. This individual will work within a small, focused team of network and systems engineers to implement technical solutions addressing challenging collaboration and data protection problems.Duties: <ul> <li>This Network Engineer performs the following core functions:</li> <li>Develop Datacenter, LAN, WAN, and Client Access networks/systems</li> <li>Integrate, Test, and deploy systems</li> <li>Perform full lifecycle management of network systems (building, deploying, maintaining)</li> <li>Monitor networks</li> </ul> Demonstrate the following: <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, determine course of action and act promptly and effectively when problems arise.</li> <li>Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communications skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well on collaborative teams.</li> <li>Maintain appropriate technical training to ensure skills are kept current with evolving technology</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of Project Management</li> </ul> Required Skills <ul> <li>Ability to travel on an infrequent, but as needed basis, primarily CON US</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with Cisco Datacenter, WAN, LAN, Client Access technologies such as MACsec, HSRP, VRF, VPC, ACLs, BGP, EIGRP</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with IOS-XE, NX-OS, Linux</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with customer specific transport networks</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with Firewalls and VPN Concentrators (FTD and ASA)</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) hands-on experience with Network and Application load balancers</li> <li>Hands-on experience implementing customer IT and Cyber Security best practices</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) experience managing and delivering engineering projects, i.e., designing, building, deploying</li> <li>Recent (within the last 3 years) experience with provisioning and management of a variety of network devices</li> <li>Hands-on experience with collaboration and ticketing tools</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of high availability technologies and implantation/deployment concepts</li> </ul>
