An established and growing accountancy firm is seeking a Payroll Senior or Payroll Manager to join its payroll team on either a full-time or part-time basis. This opportunity would suit an experienced payroll professional from an accountancy practice background who is confident managing a portfolio of clients and delivering an accurate, compliant and efficient payroll service. The firm offers flexible and hybrid working, ongoing professional development and a collaborative working environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Processing payrolls on behalf of a varied client portfolio.
  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients and responding to payroll-related queries.
  • Maintaining and updating internal payroll systems.
  • Building strong client relationships and ensuring accurate employee data management.
  • Maintaining accurate records and document control processes.
  • Ensuring payroll processes remain compliant with current payroll legislation and company policies.
  • Providing a proactive and professional service to clients at all times.

Personal Requirements

  • CIPP qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' payroll experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
