Click here This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead AI Engineer to join a growing SaaS company. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions. You’ll lead a talented team of engineers and designers, working cross-functionally to deliver impactful, scalable AI models that enhance user experiences and deliver measurable business value. This is a fully remote role, but you must be based within the UK. - Lead and mentor a team of AI Engineers and a UX Designer, providing technical guidance and fostering collaboration. - Manage and prioritise tasks, set goals, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results. - Drive the end-to-end development of AI models — from problem definition and data collection to model training, evaluation, and deployment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes and align with business objectives. - Design, implement, and optimise AI solutions that address complex business challenges. - Work closely with stakeholders, including product and customer success teams, to understand user needs and business goals. - Translate requirements into scalable machine learning solutions that align with organisational strategies. - Champion a user-centric approach to ensure solutions enhance customer experience and add measurable value. - Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and integrate state-of-the-art techniques. - Partner with data engineers to ensure access to high-quality datasets for model training and validation. - Develop efficient feature engineering pipelines to extract relevant information from diverse data sources. - Oversee the deployment of AI models into production environments. - Implement monitoring systems to track model performance and reliability post-deployment. - Work alongside data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful results. - Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Produce clear documentation for models, algorithms, and integration processes. - Promote knowledge sharing and upskilling through workshops, documentation, and internal training sessions. - Educate non-technical teams on AI capabilities and limitations. - 5+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and deploying AI in real-world applications. - Strong programming skills in Python or R. - Hands-on experience with popular AI frameworks and libraries. - Proven leadership experience within AI or machine learning teams. - Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
