Group Finance Manager
£70,000 to £80,000 + benefits
Hybrid – 2 days in London, 3 days from Home
A growing listed organisation is seeking a Group Finance Manager to play a central role in delivering high-quality reporting, strengthening governance, and supporting ongoing transformation across a multi-entity, multi-currency Group. This is a newly created, high-impact position offering genuine ownership and visibility with the senior leadership team.
The Role
You will take responsibility for groups financial reporting, consolidation, statutory accounts, and audit management. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you’ll ensure reporting accuracy, maintain strong technical standards, and drive continuous improvement across processes and controls.
You will also lead and develop a small team, supporting the delivery of a robust and scalable Group Finance operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation and review of Head Office management accounts.
Own the Group consolidation model and deliver month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
Ensure full IFRS compliance and maintain a high standard of technical accounting.
Manage accounting and disclosures for the Group’s defined-benefit pension scheme.
Act as the primary contact for external auditors and oversee the Group audit process.
Produce statutory accounts and financial statements for the Annual Report.
Maintain and update Group accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across entities.
Strengthen governance, improve controls, and streamline financial processes.
Contribute to tax planning, transfer pricing oversight, and enhancement of internal tax capability.
Drive improvements in systems, tools, and data workflows to support scalable reporting.
About You
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), perhaps trained in Accountancy Practice, with strong post-qualification experience in group reporting, ideally within a listed, engineering, or manufacturing environment but this isn’t essential. You bring strong IFRS knowledge, excellent consolidation experience, and the confidence to operate in a hands-on autonomous role.
