About the Role

No handballing — just clean, organised, professional driving on planned routes. A variety of <strong>morning, evening and weekend shifts</strong> are available.<br> <br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><strong> </strong><br><br><ul><li>Transport mail and parcels between Royal Mail sites<br><br></li><ul><li>Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards<br><br></li><li>Follow planned routes and scheduled delivery times<br><br></li><li>Represent Royal Mail with professionalism at all times<br><br></li></ul></ul> <br><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong><br><strong> </strong><br><br><ul><li>Valid <strong>HGV Class 1 / C+E licence</strong> held for 2+ years<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>CPC</strong> and <strong>Digital Tachograph Card</strong><br><br></li><li>Strong awareness of road safety and compliance<br><br></li><li><strong>180+ days</strong> of Class 1 driving in the last 12 months<br><br></li><li>Maximum <strong>6 penalty points</strong><br><br></li><li>Ability to pass driver vetting and a <strong>DBS check</strong><br><br></li></ul></ul> <br><strong>What You’ll Receive</strong><br><strong> </strong><br><br><ul><li>Excellent pay: <strong>£21.37 –£24.61 per hour</strong> (shift dependent)<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>Guaranteed minimum daily hours</strong><br><br></li><li>Weekly pay, accrued holiday pay & pension (PAYE)<br><br></li><li>Opportunity to secure a <strong>preferred shift pattern</strong> after assessment<br><br></li><li>Onsite parking and canteen facilities<br><br></li><li>Support from a dedicated onsite <strong>Pertemps</strong> team<br><br></li></ul></ul>
