Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established business based in Wellingborough who are looking to recruit a Test Technician to join their Service Centre team on a permanent basis. This is a varied, technical, and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with tools, diagnosing faults and restoring products to a high standard. Location: Wellingborough Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week) Salary: £31k - £35k per annum (DOE) Contract: Permanent Duties: Processing customer returns accurately and efficiently Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on returned equipment Reconditioning products for reuse or recycling Liaising with suppliers regarding warranty and non-warranty items Preparing quotations and assessing repair viability Supporting new product launches through testing and quality checks Communicating with customers via email and telephone regarding technical queries Maintaining accurate records and internal documentation Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times Assisting with manual handling using pallet trucks and other handling equipment The ideal candidate: Is good with their hands and confident using tools Has a natural interest in fixing, building or repairing things May have completed a college course in engineering, mechanics, electronics or similar (not essential) Could come from a workshop, production, mechanical, electrical or technical background (preferred but not essential) Is reliable, well organised and has strong attention to detail Has a positive, "can-do" attitude and is willing to learn Is comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Benefits: Permanent position with stability Full training provided Opportunity to develop technical skills Supportive team environment Clean and organised workspace
