About the Role
Senior Business Development Executive (7‑Month FTC)
Reports to: Senior Business Development Manager
A leading London law firm is seeking a confident and proactive Senior BD Executive to join its top‑tier Private Wealth practice on a 7‑month fixed‑term contract.
This role supports one of the firm's key client groups-individuals, families, trustees and family offices-operating across the UK and internationally. The Private Wealth team advises on a broad spectrum including family governance, trusts, tax, property, philanthropy, immigration and reputation management.
The Senior BD Executive will work as part of a small, collaborative team, driving business development initiatives, elevating profile, and strengthening relationships with key intermediaries.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Strategy
Support delivery of BD plans across key Private Wealth sub‑sectors.
Identify priority opportunities and target intermediaries.
Relationship Management
Lead structured follow‑up after events, trips and conferences.
Maintain relationship trackers and coordinate pipeline development.
Research & Insight
Produce market intelligence and prospect research across the UK, Middle East, Switzerland and US.
Attend sector events to gather insight and feed into strategy.
Pitches & Capability Statements
Manage the full lifecycle of pitches and credentials for Private Wealth.
Develop strong, accurate and compelling content.
Events
Plan and deliver sector events with the central events team.
Manage objectives, data, attendance and ROI follow‑up.
Directories & Awards
Lead submissions for Chambers UK, Chambers HNW and Legal 500.
Work closely with fee earners to craft high‑quality entries.
Thought Leadership & Campaigns
Support delivery of key campaigns, coordinating outputs and reporting.
Profile Raising
Identify speaking and media opportunities.
Contribute to social and website content.
Teamwork
Support coordination of the BD Executive.
Collaborate across the wider Marketing & BD team.
About You
3+ years in a professional services Marketing/BD role.
Experience in proposals essential; Private Wealth interest advantageous.
Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail.
Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working autonomously.
Strong analytical, research and relationship‑building skills.
Confident using PowerBI, CRM tools, MS Office, and AI tools including Microsoft Copilot.
Degree‑educated; CIM qualification desirable.
Additional Information
Hours: 09:30-17:30 with flexibility when required.
Hybrid working: minimum 40% office attendance.
