About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing and Midwifery for a registered nurse to join our passionate and forward‑thinking academic team as a full‑time Lecturer. This is a key teaching role within our international top‑up programme, offering the successful candidate the chance to shape the learning experience of a diverse, global student community, while also contributing to a range of nursing and health and social care programmes across the School.
Our nursing and health and social care provision is delivered across multiple campuses, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes, and the post will be primarily based at our Preston campus.
You will play a central role in the delivery of teaching on our international top‑up programme, alongside teaching across pre‑registration nursing programmes and elements of our health and social care foundation and top‑up degrees. The role offers excellent scope to teach across a variety of courses, take on module leadership responsibilities, and contribute creatively to curriculum development.
About you:
Applicants must be registered as a 1st Level Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, have at least 2 years clinical experience within Nursing and hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
You will bring strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative academic team. You will have contemporary practice knowledge and understanding, supported by teaching experience, and a clear interest in developments within nursing and health and social care education. Experience of assessing and supervising students is essential. Most importantly, you will be deeply committed to student success, with the ability to support high‑quality learning and teaching across classroom, online and practice‑based environments.
