About the Role

Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Pharmacy Shift: Varying Shifts (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Post-graduate Year One (PGY1) resident develops, through a one year training program, the appropriate knowledge and skills to provide optimal pharmaceutical care. The PGY1 Resident serves as a resource to other health care professionals and students. Practices as a pharmacist is accordance with all of the established standards. The PGY1 residency program maintains accreditation through the American Society for Health-System Pharmacy. The PGY1 resident must meet all requirements in order to maintain this position and graduate from the program successfully. Education: Graduate from an American Council on Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy. ACPE IV certification course completion required. Certification/Licensure: Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist. Pharmacist licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Must obtain preceptor license after 6 months of licensure as a pharmacist. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (within 30 days of employement). Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (within 60 days of employment). ACPE IV Certification (obtained from approved course completed during pharmacy school or ACPE accredited course).
