Pastoral Support – Warwick

About the role:

Justteachers is working with a secondary school in Warwick that is seeking a Pastoral Support member of staff to support pupils with their wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and engagement in school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, resilient, and proactive individual to make a positive difference within a supportive school environment.

You’ll work closely with students, families, teaching staff, and senior leaders to provide day-to-day pastoral support, help remove barriers to learning, and promote positive behaviour and attendance. The role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, or similar setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral support to pupils across the school, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and engagement.
• Support positive behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing in line with school policies and procedures.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff to encourage consistent support and communication.
• Assist with interventions, mentoring, and restorative conversations where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate relevant updates to teaching staff and senior leaders.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience supporting young people in a school, pastoral, youth work, or similar setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A calm, resilient, and professional approach to supporting behaviour, wellbeing, and attendance.
• A proactive and caring attitude, with a genuine commitment to helping pupils succeed.
• Two relevant references, ideally from educational settings.
