About the role: Justteachers is seeking a dedicated SEMH Support Worker to join a supportive school in the Wakefield area on a long-term basis. This full-time role is due to commence in September , with shortlisting currently underway. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to build resilience, develop positive relationships, and engage successfully with learning. Key Responsibilities: Providing targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils to develop effective emotional regulation skills Working closely with teaching, pastoral, and SEND teams to implement tailored support strategies Pre-requisites: Relevant experience working in an SEMH, SEND, or behaviour support setting Experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs A strong understanding of behaviour management and restorative approaches Two education or school‑based references
