About the Role

This placement is only available to members of the Professional Football Association (PFA). Applicants must be able to provide a valid PFA membership number as part of the application process. Any applicants who are not members of the PFA will be automatically declined. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate to join the Executive Office at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Executive Assistant (Strategy) – OPPS Placement. This placement provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to how a professional football club is led, governed, and operated at a strategic level.

The post will be split into two parts. The first six months will focus upon developing a strong understanding of how the Club is governed and how strategic priorities are set and monitored. The second half of the placement will then transition into more applied work, contributing directly to strategic initiatives across the Club.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the coordination of the Club’s strategic plan, including tracking actions, milestones, and outcomes
  • Horizon scanning, benchmarking, and research to inform future planning
  • Assist with the coordination of external visits, partnerships, and knowledge-sharing opportunities
  • Contribute to the delivery of strategic projects and initiatives
  • To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
