This is a unique opportunity to lead a vibrant music program that inspires students, enriches school liturgies, and builds a lifelong love of the arts. Position Highlights Weekly Instruction: Teach engaging music classes for all students, PreK3 through Grade 8, that foster creativity, performance skills, and music appreciation. Liturgical Leadership: Prepare and accompany student cantors for school liturgies, prayer services, and special events. Concerts & Performances: Direct two student choirs and two chime groups, showcasing their talents at annual Christmas and Spring concerts as well as other school events. Musical Theater Direction: Lead and direct the annual Spring Musical for Grades 5–8, giving students the chance to shine on stage. Faith and Community Integration: Use music to enhance our Catholic identity and strengthen our joyful, faith-filled school culture. Ideal Candidate Will: Have strong vocal and/or instrumental skills with the ability to teach general music and prepare students for performance. Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating concerts, ensembles, and school-wide music events. Collaborate closely with faculty, administration, and parish staff to ensure a vibrant and cohesive music program. Embrace the mission of Catholic education and model the values of faith, respect, and service. Bring energy and enthusiasm to engaging students of all ages, from preschool to middle school. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field. Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in Music (or eligibility to obtain). Experience directing choirs, ensembles, and theater productions preferred. Prior experience in Catholic or faith-based schools is a plus, but not required. Why Join Mater Dei?
