Responsibilities: Review capital spending requests to verify proper documentation and approvals Advise teams on basic capital versus expense accounting rules Design internal control workflows to protect company property and equipment Track open projects to ensure accurate fixed asset placement Work with project managers to monitor spending against active budgets Flag potential cost overruns before active projects exceed approved limits Match the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger monthly Post depreciation entries, asset transfers, and equipment retirements regularly Update monthly tracking schedules for fixed assets and lease accounts Coordinate property tax calculations, monthly accruals, and vendor payments Handle lease accounting adjustments according to current corporate compliance standards Gather audit-ready workpapers for internal and external accounting reviews Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting (public or industry) experience Compensation and Benefits: Salary Range: $65,000–$70,000 This role is also eligible for various benefits, including: Medical Insurance Actual base salary will be determined based on an individual's experience, skills, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments, and other factors relevant to the position.
