Mechanical Maintenance Technician Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Weston Rates of Pay £32,000 – £36,000 depending on experience Monday to Friday 07.30 – 16.30 We are currently recruiting for our client, a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer based in Weston, who is looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global brand, supporting production lines and facilities to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively Support production line changes and tooling requirements Supervise contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard Source parts and components with consideration for cost and lead times Contribute to general site and building maintenance Skills & Experience Required Strong background in fabrication, welding, and general maintenance Experience working with contractors and installing equipment Knowledge of engines, transmissions, or CNC machinery (advantageous) Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and Health & Safety practices Problem-solving ability with electrical or mechatronic systems (a plus) About You Hands-on, detail-focused, and proactive Able to work independently and within a team Logical and calm under pressure with strong fault-finding skills Positive, motivated, and flexible to meet production demands What’s on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Chance to work with a leading automotive brand Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth and development
