About the role:
We are seeking an English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield. This is a Part-time position starting in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured English lessons across the secondary age range, promoting strong academic progress and a passion for literature and language.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support achievement and continuous improvement.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and inspiring classroom environment where all students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in departmental initiatives, staff meetings, pastoral responsibilities, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the secondary English curriculum.
- Two recent professional references from education or school-based roles.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people, with the ability to engage, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities.
