Myself & Alexander Steele Recruitment have a fantastic new role with a great FMCG manufacturing business in Suffolk, who want to add a Production Planner to bolster the existing planning team.
This well established business supplies a the major multiple retailers in the UK and through the recent difficult trading conditions they have managed to increase sales with positive growth projected moving forward.
For this role you will be expected to work Monday to Friday and my client will pay up to £35k as a basic salary based on the level of your experience.
Production Planner would be an integral part of the business and supporting the recent growth, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the daily schedule ensuring that production departments are adhering to planned quantity and sequence. To re-schedule production as required ensuring delivery of the plan.
- To communicate and issue the daily production & material control plans through the planning systems. To adjust planned quantities as necessary.
- To determine and continuously improve target stockholding levels for materials and packaging through lead time, minimum order quantity, residency and storage capacity.
- To produce accurate and timely Planning & Manufacturing performance reports.
- To communicate service issues internally and externally.
- To continuously improve schedule delivery through liaison with production departments and shop floor presence.
- To monitor stocks and usage, assist with material ordering and deliveries.
Ideally will have:
- At least 1- 2 years experience as a production planner within a FMCG food manufacturing business.
- Must have knowledge of Production Planning systems
- Excellent level of English language skills both verbal & written
- Excellent PC Skills such as Microsoft Office & MS Excel
