About the Role

Looking for flexible work where you can make a genuine difference? We are working in partnership with a group of specialist schools within a well-established multi-academy trust, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. These settings cater for pupils with SEMH, Autism, complex needs and PMLD, and are known for their inclusive, nurturing and relationship-led approach. With an increase in demand across the trust, we are looking to build a pool of reliable, flexible staff who are available for ad-hoc, day-to-day and short-term cover. About the Schools Although each setting supports slightly different needs, they share a strong, consistent ethos: A commitment to inclusive, child-centred education A focus on building positive, trusting relationships with pupils Use of trauma-informed, therapeutic and structured approaches Strong collaboration between teaching staff, support staff and external professionals You may find yourself working in: SEMH provisions, supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs Autism and communication-focused settings Complex needs / PMLD environments, supporting pupils with physical and learning needs The Role As a flexible Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support depending on the setting Adapt quickly to different classrooms and pupil needs Support with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement Assist with learning activities and classroom routines In some settings, support with personal care and physical needs This is a varied role where no two days are the same — ideal for those who enjoy diversity, flexibility and hands-on experience. Who This Would Suit We are particularly keen to hear from: SEN Teaching Assistants and support staff Youth workers, mentors or behaviour specialists Psychology or education graduates Care/support workers looking to move into education Nursery practitioners interested in SEND You will be: Adaptable, proactive and reliable Comfortable working across a range of needs and age groups Confident building rapport quickly with pupils and staff Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
