Junior Management Accountant
The role
Supporting the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in producing accurate financial information that helps leaders make informed business decisions. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of finance activities while developing your technical and commercial knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
- Assisting with cost control initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Partnering with operational and departmental stakeholders to provide financial insights and guidance.
- Developing and maintaining financial models and reporting tools.
- Supporting compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assisting with year-end audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring data accuracy.
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis to support business projects and strategic initiatives.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data.

- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate financial information, identify discrepancies, and maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Experience within a finance or accounting environment.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
- Experience using financial systems such as Microsoft D365, NetSuite, or similar.
