About the Role
Starting as soon as possible, this is a full time,12-month fixed-term contract with a leading business based in St Ives Cambridgeshire, focusing on costing and performance review.
You will work closely with Operations and Supply Chain, delivering insightful costing analysis and ad-hoc commercial support to the Head of Finance, while also acting as a key costing expert for the wider Costing Team.
A major element of the role will involve supporting the onboarding and implementation of SAP S/4HANA, making prior SAP experience highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor production and cost performance
Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to drive cost control initiatives
Analyse actual vs planned costs and investigate month-end and year-end variances
Set, review, and maintain annual standard costs
Communicate standard costs across the EMEA region and support pricing updates
Support the transfer and implementation of SAP systems
Implement and embed best-practice costing processes
Qualifications are not essential; however, you must be a self-starter who can get up to speed quickly in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment. Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work cross-functionally are key.
A weekly on-site presence is required, with hybrid working supported for the right individual, subject to business needs.
