Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm (40 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (PAYE)

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Cleaning Operative to join a busy logistics and distribution facility based in Basildon. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering full-time hours and the potential for long-term employment with the successful candidate.

This is a physically demanding role requiring candidates to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout warehouse and office environments while working safely and professionally at all times.

• Carrying out general warehouse cleaning duties
• Sweeping, mopping and maintaining warehouse floor areas
• Moving stock and pallets where required
• Cleaning office areas, meeting rooms and breakout spaces
• Cleaning kitchens, canteens and welfare facilities
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
• Emptying waste bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the site
• Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns
• Working safely and adhering to all site procedures and PPE requirements

• Previous commercial, industrial or warehouse cleaning experience preferred
• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual duties
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional, reliable and punctual approach
• Friendly, well-presented and customer-focused manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Right to work in the UK

Successful candidates will be required to complete:

• Five-year employment history checks
• Right to Work verification
• Basic DBS check
• Site security verification procedures

Candidates must also provide valid photographic identification upon arrival at site.

Candidates must provide and wear:

• Safety footwear
• High visibility vest
• Black top
• Black trousers
• Appropriate PPE as required

Successful candidates must complete the following training prior to commencing work:

• COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
• BICSc Understanding Colour Codes
• BICSc Hand Hygiene Explained
• BICSc Understanding Chemical Hazard Pictograms
• BICSc Understanding PPE
