Private Sector Housing Officer – 3-Month Contract (Immediate Start)
We are seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to join our client's professional team on a 3-month contract. You will deliver a high-quality private sector housing service, responding to enquiries, complaints, and service requests while assessing housing conditions, providing advice, and using risk-based enforcement powers, including civil penalties, to ensure homes are safe, habitable, and compliant with legislation.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in private sector housing, including HHSRS inspections, property licensing, housing management, and enforcement. You will hold a valid **HHSRS Certificate** (essential), with **EHORB registration** desirable, and have a minimum of five years' relevant experience. While the role has no direct line management responsibility, you will be expected to support the induction, mentoring, and development of colleagues and apprentices where required.
This is a full-time, 3-month contract with an immediate start, although part-time applicants may also be considered. If you have the expertise to make an immediate impact and are looking for your next contract opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
