About the Role

<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payroll reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience working in a fast-paced, product-driven company.</p> <p>Title: Staff Accountant<br /> Location: Wichita, KS On-site<br /> Potential Compensation: $50,000 to 60,000</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Accounts Payable (AP):</p> <p>Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.<br /> Reconcile AP ledger and resolve discrepancies.<br /> Maintain vendor records and support month-end close activities.</p> <p>Accounts Receivable (AR):</p> <p>Generate and send customer invoices.<br /> Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.<br /> Apply customer payments and reconcile AR accounts.</p> <p>Invoicing:</p> <p>Prepare and review sales invoices for accuracy and completeness.<br /> Coordinate with sales and operations teams to ensure proper billing.<br /> Maintain organized records of all invoicing activities.</p> <p>Payroll Reconciliations:</p> <p>Reconcile payroll transactions with general ledger accounts.<br /> Collaborate with HR/payroll provider to ensure accuracy.<br /> Assist in payroll journal entries and reporting.</p> <p>Bank Reconciliations:</p> <p>Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.<br /> Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.<br /> Ensure proper documentation and audit trail.</p> <p>General Accounting Support:</p> <p>Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.<br /> Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.<br /> Support internal and external audits as needed.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br /> 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.<br /> Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).<br /> Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.<br /> Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br /> Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</p> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <p>Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS).<br /> Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.<br /> Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).</p>
