<span><span><span><b><span><span>VAE is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies.</span></span></b></span></span></span><br />

<span><span><span><span><span>CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: </span></span></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Must hold an active Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)</span></span></span></span></span></li>
</ul>
<span><span><span><span><span>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Designing, maintaining, and operating Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless, Internet connectivity, and Network Security</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Maintain existing network equipment, installing new equipment in plant environments.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Gather needed data to specify system/component performance and interface requirements. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN’s, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), GRE Tunneling, IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Must have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed to include: occasional on call support (typically one week at a time every two months) or additional hours based on mission need.</span></span></span></span></span></li>

<span><span><span><span><span>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of network engineering experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Excellent analytical capabilities including creative problem solving and root cause analysis.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Committed to documentation and organization efforts.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Capable of multitasking while working in a constantly shifting environment with many moving pieces.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Must have a DoD IAT level II baseline certification, prior to start (Sec+).</span></span></span></span></span></li>

<span><span><span><span><span>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Knowledge of proper procedures, techniques, tools and equipment used to install, maintain and repair wireless communications systems and subsystems. Knowledge of electronic and wireless theory including digital, analog, and circuitry. </span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Proficiency with Juniper IOS or other IP/transport specific management tools (EMS) and general practices. Expertise in IP technologies, i.e. Networking architectures and methodologies and Voice Services.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Expert Knowledge of IP principles.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Proficiency in at least two or more of the following devices: SONUS SBC, Juniper MX5 routers, Juniper SRX firewalls, Juniper EX switches, SONUS SBCs, KG175.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span><span>Proficiency in at least one of the following tools: SolarWinds or Junos Space.</span></span></span></span></span></li>
