Senior Data Engineer - Data Migration | Energy & Utilities

Contract: 6 months | Start: Immediate | Location: UK-based Hybrid

Inside IR35

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with proven years of experience, including significant expertise in data migration within the Energy & Utilities sector.

You'll lead and assure end-to-end data migration solutions, transforming legacy platforms into scalable, secure cloud-based data environments, with a strong focus on data quality, integrity and governance.

Key requirements:

• Solid Data Engineering experience, with strong data migration expertise.
• Proven Energy & Utilities experience, ideally across asset/network management, telemetry or SCADA data.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT, data ingestion, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of DataOps, CI/CD, Azure DevOps and Git.
• Experience with data quality, governance, metadata, lineage and cataloguing.
• Ability to design scalable dimensional and canonical data models.
• Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
• Experience leading complex migration programmes and mentoring engineering teams.

Immediate availability strongly preferred.
