We are recruiting an Interim Asset and Project Manager for a leading Social Housing provider based in the West Midlands, supporting capital programmes across the local region on a 3-month contract.
As an Interim Asset and Project Manager, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and assuring the capital investment and major works programmes.
What’s on offer:
Rate: £300 per day
Contract: 3-month interim assignment (potential for extension)
Working pattern: Full-time (37–40 hours per week)
About the Company

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and review of the capital investment programme, using stock condition, compliance and asset data to drive priorities
- Ensuring homes continue to meet the Decent Homes Standard, building safety requirements and wider property legislation
- Translating new and emerging regulatory requirements into clear, practical investment plans and assurance reporting
- Leading option appraisals, business cases and feasibility work to support sustainable, value‑for‑money investment decisions
- Providing professional oversight of complex disrepair cases, including working with legal advisers where required
- Acting as a trusted technical adviser to senior colleagues and supporting informed decision‑making
- Managing specialist staff and promoting a culture of accountability, empathy and high service standards
The successful Asset and Project Manager will have:
- Strong experience in asset management or capital investment planning within social housing or a similar regulated environment
- Is confident working with stock condition and compliance data, turning insight into prioritised investment programmes
- Has a sound understanding of building safety, decency and property legislation
- Can assess risk, challenge appropriately and provide assurance to senior stakeholders
- Is comfortable managing complex or high‑risk property issues, including disrepair
- Cares about resident experience and understands the importance of quality homes
