Mechanical Robotics Design Supervisor

Position Title: Mechanical Robotics Design Supervisor Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Mechanical Robotics Design Supervisor opportunity located in Lynchburg, VA. Job Responsibilities: Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments. Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned. Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards. Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures. Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members. Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships. Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements. Works on special projects, as directed. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s Mechanical Degree in Engineering Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted. Minimum of 7 years of related experience. Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria. Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required. Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment. Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills. Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates. Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills. Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills. Proficiency with Solidworks & hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical systems. Experience with robotics or tooling design, Nuclear experience is a plus. Significant prior experience supervising teams of people and mentoring junior engineers. Highly organized. Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Job Details: Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Lynchburg, VA. Salary Range: Market Rate.
