Semi-Senior Accountant - Independent accounting firm Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire (Hybrid) £32,000 to £36,500 DOE Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with a people-focused accountancy firm based in Hertfordshire who are now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their tight knit and collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Manage your own portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors Prepare year-end accounts, personal tax returns, and VAT returns Support clients using modern cloud software, primarily Engager, Xero and TaxCalc Optional involvement in CIS returns, P11Ds and bookkeeping (beneficial to have experience in at least one of these areas) Deliver a high-quality, professional service and build strong client relationships Work closely with the wider team to contribute to a positive, collaborative culture MUST BE based in the UK and eligible to work (no sponsorship available) Key Requirements Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA preferred) Experience managing your own client portfolio in practice Strong technical grounding across accounts and tax Confident using cloud-based accounting tools, Xero preferred A team-player with excellent communication skills Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering great client service What You'll Get Hybrid working after initial training 8:30am - 4:30pm working pattern to support work-life balance Additional benefits such as health insurance, mobile phone & social events (based on length of service) Supportive, friendly, people-first environment A clear role with defined responsibilities and progression Full study package and structured development Regular performance reviews and feedback Interested?
