Functie

• Support the Group Controllership team with the full closing cycle and consolidation for more than 500 legal entities.
• Contribute to the preparation of high‑quality consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Monitor quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could delay reporting.
• Collaborate closely with Investment Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial submissions.
• Review and analyze quarterly financial data delivered by investment accounting teams.
• Play an active role in, and regularly lead, quarterly review meetings with Investment Accounting teams.
• Perform ongoing data analysis to identify inconsistencies, recommend corrective actions, and strengthen data quality.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and the adoption of new, more efficient ways of working.
• Take a leading role in coordinating the external valuation of investment properties together with the Portfolio Management team.
• Support fund reporting by preparing quarterly, in‑depth analyses such as variance analysis, actuals versus budget, consolidation packages, and net debt analytics for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and parent companies.
• Act as a trusted sparring partner for senior management, country managers, asset managers, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic and operational projects by providing analytical insights and project support (e.g., restructuring or refinancing initiatives).
• Actively support team development and contribute to the growth and mentoring of junior team members.

Profiel

• A bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics is required; a master's degree or an accounting qualification (RA, ACCA, or equivalent), completed or nearly completed, is an advantage.
• Over 10 years of experience as a finance professional in audit, consolidation, or financial roles within a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to operate at group level while also addressing detailed, entity‑specific accounting matters, ensuring robust processes and controls throughout the organization.
• Strong technical expertise in group accounting and IFRS.
• High digital proficiency, with a solid understanding of ERP systems and hands‑on experience with consolidation tools such as OneStream or Oracle Hyperion Financial Management; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to handle large data sets.
• Exceptional attention to detail, consistently delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
• A critical and analytical mindset, with the confidence to review, challenge, and enhance the work of others.
• The ability to work independently, proactively adjust priorities, and manage workloads effectively in a fast‑moving setting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and leadership.
• A collaborative, proactive team player with a positive, solution‑oriented approach to complex challenges, comfortable working across teams such as Investment Accounting, FP&A, and other functions.
• Experience in real estate is a plus, but not a requirement.
